If you will be traveling out of the country you should let us know ahead of time. Your ITT Employees' Federal Credit Union debit card will not work outside of the United States unless we remove an international block. This block is in place to prevent fraudulent overseas charges from being made on your card. We will open your card up to foreign transactions for the duration of your travel. The block will be reactivated automatically after your travel time expires.
If you are traveling out of the country and using your Visa credit card, you should let us know for the same reasons as your debit card (see above). Also, if you are traveling more than 100 miles away from home you should let us know as well. Visa credit cards are monitored for usage outside of your normal stomping grounds so a charge coming from 3 states away may cause your card to be deactivated. This feature is great at preventing fraud but can be a real bummer when you are trying to use it during a long weekend getaway.
